Club Rules & Policies
BEHAVIOR Any child who does not have a sufficient attention span to enable him/her to follow the coach's instructions or harasses other children, puts his/her own safety and other gymnasts at risk, may be asked to withdraw from the program, and any fees paid in advance will be refunded. Proper conduct is required at all times from all gymnasts’ and parents/guardians!
RESPECT If a child is not showing respect for the facility and brings damages to it, the necessary repair will be done at his/her parents’ expense.
WHAT TO WEAR Girls may wear leotard or gym shorts and T-shirt. Boys may wear gym shorts and T-shirt (undershirt is preferable for a safety reason). No skirts, jeans, shorts or pants with belts, buckles or zippers. Hair must be tied back and off the shoulders. Bare feet only and no jewellery. Make sure your feet are clean before entering the gym.
NUT ALLERGIES Gold Medal Gymnastics Inc. is a peanut/nut-free environment. All participants are asked to refrain from bringing peanut and nut products into the club due to increasing risk from nut allergies in children. Food and drinks are not allowed in the gym (water is provided).
PETS are not allowed in the facility!
CLASSES start on time. Do not drop-off children more than ten minutes prior to start of class. Children must be picked up promptly when class is over. Parents are required to supervise their children before and immediately after class. In case that you are going to be late picking up your child, please let us know. If any siblings are “waiting” in the viewing or changeroom make sure they are supervised by a grown-up/adult.
MAKE UP CLASSES There will be no refunds or make up for missed classes. No extra time will be provided for coming late. If we (Gold Medal Gymnastics Inc.) have to cancel a class for any reasons and you paid for it we’ll provide a make up for that class only! The gym will be closed on any Statutory or Civic Holiday!
INCLEMENT WEATHER If Halton school buses are cancelled due to inclement weather please call the office @ (905)864-4400 or cell (905)691-2996 and check out if the class is cancelled for that day. There are no refunds or make up classes for sessions that have been cancelled due to inclement weather
PARENTS are allowed to enter the gym only if they are part of the class, or if is a special event. In the Parents & Tot Class please have only one adult/child to enter the gym. Beverages (coffee, tea, juice) are not allowed in the gym.
VISITORS and parents must sit in the observation area. Please do not talk to or otherwise distract the children participating in the classes. Any interruptions could result in serious injury. Street shoes must be removed and left in the front lobby.
VALUABLES items should not be brought to the gym. Gold Medal Gymnastics Inc. will not be responsible for lost or stolen items.
LOST & FOUND Please check the Lost & Found Box periodically. At the end of each month the remaining belongings will be sent to Thrift Store or in some cases put out with the garbage. There will be a box in both girls and boys change rooms.
METHOD OF PAYMENT All members are requested to remit monthly member fees via post-dated cheques (payable to Gold Medal Gymnastics Inc.) for the entire semester, as follow:
Semester 1 (September, October, November, December & January)
Semester 2 (February, March, April, May & June)
Post-dated cheques ensure that class space is reserved for your child. Please assign your cheques for 1st of the month. An extra fee will apply to NSF cheques.
WITHDRAWAL FROM PROGRAM We require a two weeks written notice before the end of the month in order to return the remainder of your post-dated cheques to you, if applicable.
POSITIVE FEEDBACK We do appreciate your positive comments and suggestions that will help us run a better program for you. On the other hand complains are not acceptable considering that you can withdraw at the end of the month if you are not pleased.
REJECTION Gold Medal Gymnastics Inc. as a private club and member of Gymnastics Ontario reserves the right to reject any members that are not respecting the rules and policies.
